ADVANCED CERAMICS has the
world's largest ceramic hot press facility with 21 vacuum hot press furnaces
capable of producing fully dense parts up to 580mm in diameter. ADVANCED
CERAMICS proprietary vacuum hot presses were designed and fabricated in house
to run at extreme temperatures (>2000°C) and pressures to create a
consistent and repeatable process from billet to billet.
The performance of materials densified from powders are extremely sensitive
to residual porosity. The demand for high density and complete structural
homogeneity of today's advanced materials requires the use of an external
pressure during the sintering process. Only "PAD" Pressure Assisted
Densification in a vacuum environment ensures excellent performance
properties, reliability, durability and quality control. ADVANCED CERAMICS
"PAD" process ensures fully dense powder materials with controlled
microstructure throughout the material to succeed in the most demanding
environments. ADVANCED CERAMICS hot press facility is available to provide
customers with a wide range of powder materials in the form of plate stock or
as a toll pressing service for customer-supplied powders.
